My forehead touches the glass of my window. Rain dribbles down its surface. I watch streams of clouds join together, gaining momentum as they prepare for the final tumble. I mirror them with my emotions. The water I shed is feeble. Clouds ready to shed drops of my memories. It has been overcast, with glum and dark clouds hanging low over the horizon, for the past few days.

I am amidst the fallacy of my past.

There is a hollow space inside me; I am hollow. Emotions dribble down ineffectually, taking me in a roller coaster ride effectively. I am stunned but not surprised, its nature responsible for it and happens with everyone in bringing back the old memories. Even Mother nature started lingering around, wearing her best costume. Nothing is same, I couldn’t have foreseen the truth. How was I to know the cord which was cut, wasn’t cut with my mother. The mother nature knows prostrates the picture of my mother in real. Memories haunt me with phantasmal images of my mom. In every tree, every mote of dust, I see a reflection. Reflection of her is in my thoughts, my feelings, my tears. It soothes my heart as I repose in her arms of a cool breeze.

It took her departure from me to realise what she meant to me in every second of my life.
I smile, with a long sigh. Again… She is alive. And so am I. One day I will meet her again.
The sun breaks out from its clustered clouds. Weak, watery egg yolk. But, nonetheless. Present. Warm, if not bright.
